My relationship with Sarasota goes back 42 years. My family moved here in 1974. We first lived on Longboat Key where I attended Anna Maria Elementary. In 1978 we moved to live on the Gulf of Mexico on Siesta Key and I attended Pine View School.

As a 3rd generation real estate professional, I couldn’t help but grow up learning the market and the industry. My instincts for the business — along with my passion to deliver real value to my clients — was the incentive for me to establish my own boutique brokerage 15 years ago.

My team and I have facilitated $440 million in Sarasota Real Estate sales.

Here’s how I define real value:

  1. Provide a deep understanding of the real estate market and distinct lifestyle experiences in Sarasota. Having lived, worked, and played in Sarasota through many stages of my life — as a child, student, adult and parent — I can offer insights that you may not find elsewhere.
  2. Be a real advisor, not a clerk. For most people the real estate transaction is one of the biggest financial and lifestyle decisions of their life. With a Duke MBA in finance, I have the financial acumen to guide you through the numbers. I also have strong negotiation skills that allow me to navigate the complex social issues involved in buying and selling property.
  3. International know-how matters. As a seller, did you know 25% of all purchases in Florida are from international buyers? I will demonstrate our global reach, expertise, and connections.   • Honored as a “Hero of Small Business” by US Congress in 2011 for global and technological initiatives, and unwavering sense of ethics.
  • Met my wife Lisa in Duke’s MBA program thanks to the graduate student basketball ticket camp out.
  • Wrote our book “Your Guide to Florida Property Investment — for Global Buyers” while living in Lucca, Italy (in Tuscany) for a year with my wife and children.
  • Went to summer camp on Lake Dunmore near Middlebury, Vermont, where our kids now go each summer.
  • I owned an antique and art gallery in NYC’s Greenwich Village just out of college.
  • Delivered talks about Florida real estate to audiences in Cannes, Monte Carlo, & Madrid.
  • My favorite Sarasota Gem is the Legacy Trail, our rails-to-trails bike path.

Lisa specializes in the listing side of the business – leading the marketing, video, and technology initiatives that really differentiate the Investments in Sarasota team. Want your listing to shine? She will figure out how to craft the story of the property and send it to the far corners of the globe with state-of-the-art digital marketing.

Lisa is co-founder to both Investments in Sarasota and Investments in Florida. While living above a bakery in Lucca, Italy, Lisa and Lee authored “Your Guide to Florida Property Investment”. The scent of focaccia in the oven and the sounds of opera emanating from the oratorio just outside brought boundless inspiration.

Lisa earned her Duke MBA in marketing and throughout her career has been on the leading (aka bleeding!) edge of technological innovation. She has managed teams within companies ranging from Fortune 500s to entrepreneurial start-ups. She won regional and national awards for her work at the former Control Data Corporation, including National Fast Track, Rookie-of-the-Year, and the Vice-President’s Award.

Fun Facts

Lisa is half Costa Rican and speaks fluent Spanish. She is passionate about supporting local farmers and food artisans, and shops at the Downtown Sarasota Farmer’s Market every Saturday. She is an avid yogi, and her favorite Sarasota Gem is Full Moon Yoga on Siesta Key Beach. This class begins at sunset and ends with the full moon rising!
